About Us

Dhaal Atoll Education Centre (Dh.AEC), opened on 24th March 1984, is the leading school in the atoll established by the Ministry of Education, Republic of Maldives. Existing on a expanse of 85,000 sq. ft. land it serves more than 700 students, from kindergarten through Higher Secondary (K-12). Over the years, through leaps and bounds, Dh.AEC has attained a commendable achievement in National and International Examinations. In this regard, school has given a profound focus to instructional supervision as it is considered as the impetus for improving teaching and learning in educational institutions.

The school follows three different syllabus at three levels of schooling. They are National Curriculum, for the foundation, key stage 1, key stage 2 and key stage 3 (LKG to grade 8) as well as for Islam and Dhivehi in the key stage 4 and key stage 5 (Grade 9 to 12), the University of Cambridge GCE O’ Level and IGCSE syllabi for lower secondary section (Grade 9 and 10) and Edexcel London GCE for higher secondary level (Grade 11 and 12). Secondary students are also streamed as science stream, Business stream and TVET stream.
